LGBTIQ Phobia Monitoring BD is Bangladesh’s first independent, publicly accessible, research- and evidence-based initiative dedicated to monitoring and documenting anti-LGBTIQ+, anti-gender, anti-feminist and human-rights violations, as well as far-right extremist activities. We collect and verify data on killings, attacks and arrests, expulsions from educational institutions, discriminatory policies, online targeting and hate speech, and turn it into clear briefs and reports for policymakers, journalists, researchers, human rights defenders, civil society, UN human rights mechanisms and international partners.

We are fighting for the human rights of communities in Bangladesh who have long been deprived of their rights and historically oppressed. Those in power keep these abuses hidden. We seek to expose this oppression, create a permanent record of human-rights violations, and sustain our struggle and global advocacy to protect fundamental freedoms.
