LGBTIQ Phobia Monitoring BD is Bangladesh’s first independent, publicly accessible initiative dedicated to monitoring and documenting anti-LGBTIQ+, anti-gender, anti-feminist, and human-rights violations, as well as far-right extremist activities. In a media environment where such incidents are often underreported, we collect and verify data on hate speech, discriminatory policies, and physical attacks, then store everything in an open-access database. From there, we transform raw information into clear, concise briefs and in-depth reports for policymakers, journalists, and civil-society groups both at nationally and internationally. Our goal is to enhance transparency, drive accountability, and safeguard the rights of marginalized communities across Bangladesh.

To collect, verify, and make openly available accurate data on anti-LGBTIQ+, anti-gender, anti-feminist, and human-rights violations in Bangladesh—transforming raw incidents into clear, actionable insights that empower policymakers, media, and civil society to drive accountability, foster transparency, and protect the fundamental rights of marginalized communities.

A Bangladesh where every individual—regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, or background—lives free from fear, discrimination, and violence. We envision an inclusive society in which laws, policies, and social attitudes uphold the dignity and rights of LGBTIQ+ people, empowering all communities to participate equally in civic, cultural, and economic life.

We are fighting for the human rights of communities in Bangladesh who have long been deprived of their rights and historically oppressed. Those in power keep these abuses and violations hidden. We seek to expose this oppression, create a permanent record of human-rights violations, and sustain our struggle and global advocacy to protect fundamental freedoms. Your support will strengthen our efforts—without it, our opponents will silence our work and endanger lives. We are fighting to save lives. Join us in this fight.
